The thing was, I'd done stuff over the christmas holiday that I'd never done before (and some stuff that I won't be doing a second time) but I hadn't thought of doing it for graphics, I'd just ended up doing it, and I didn't like that (also I didn't have the camera to document it for the most part).
I couldn't think of anything that was either interesting or affordable. I thought about getting a tattoo, but my money and energy quickly fizzled out, and so I was left with nothing for this project.
Then I thought maybe I could just jump in the dock, I've never done that before. I was all ready to do it until someone suggested I went in there in a boat. So I went to the toy shop next to tesco, bought a dinghy for 13 quid, blew it up and rowed about for a bit. I even got to the island that the bridge pillars are on, which is a place I've longed to reach for the past year.
Here I am preparing the boat and getting in:
and here I am enjoying the relaxing sensation of lieing in a boat in the dock:
I've been warned by the residential staff that if I go in the water then I'll die in 2 minutes, but I barely got splashed before. I've also had a handful of drunkards ask if they can go out in my boat, but because I'm not sadistic enough and couldn't bare to have their death on my conscience I've continued to say no, so so far no-one else has been allowed out on it. I don't think it's dangerous so long as you're sober, but then most people are too scared.
